THE HISTORY BEHIND THE CHAPEL CONVERSION
In 2004 we bought a Chapel in a picturesque Welsh village nestling opposite a spectacular 70 ft Waterfalls. We are musicians who have toured the world but the Chapel became the epicentre of all our music creation; a studio, office, storage and much much more.
The Chapel’s gardens are spectacular, overlooking the waterfalls, where you can hear the water crashing down. It’s a place that has stimulated much creativity resulting in 17 Top 50 UK singles, a host of successful albums and over 6 million album sales worldwide.
We were born in this village and have raised our children in this village. It had always been part of our plan to eventually convert the chapel and over the last few years (since 2018), this is exactly what we have done. The Chapel has now been converted into 4, 2-bedroomed apartments with original arched windows, and a 3-bedroomed luxury Penthouse. You will see from photos presented that the property has been expertly renovated with Italian furnishings, steel cladded walls, original stonework and beams, that tell a story from way back when, in 1869.
Most importantly, we have tried to stay loyal to the instruction on the wall of the Chapel; to “respect this holy space”
Our original intention was to create 5 long term lets and create a beautiful space for people to to live in, alongside our Chapel House Cottage at the Rear which we have rented out for 20 years to our faithful tenant and gardener. As lockdown fell and the build progressed, everyone who walked through into this holy space, remarked on how beautiful the apartments were and that we should surely holiday let them. And so an idea was borne.
We are rock and rollers, international musicians, who have performed with Bob Dylan, Bono Vox, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen to name but a few but, we always come home to Wales and the Village of Dyserth.
We hope you enjoy staying at the Waterfall Apartments, as much as we enjoyed creating this special space.
